2:30 pm exists even if it's only you. You book a 25-minute slot. If someone is there with you, you work side by side on video. If nobody is there yet, the session starts anyway.
At your time, the session starts anyway: if someone else booked the same slot, you are on a video call; if nobody is there yet, for the first 5 minutes we look for another person while you start working. If nobody arrives, you choose how to go on: with a virtual companion (an illustrated character, not a real person), with a new person in the next quarter hour, or back to the calendar. You don't wait for a turn.
At the end of the session, if you want, you rate how it went from 0 to 10: when you do, the hour counts for how it went too, not only for how long it lasted.
The question that usually remains is what you say to each other: the answer is in the first two minutes, which, with the last two, are the only moments when you talk.

Yes, for the whole session: it is the condition that makes it work. Inside the room there is a button to switch it off for a moment, if you really need it, but not for the whole session. You don't have to show your face, though: you can point the camera at your desk and show that you are working. If you prefer to work without a camera, the timer and the “Solo” mode open no video call.
Nothing: access is free, with no credit card.
